Why Our Clients Are Repeat Customers

Running a charter yacht is no small task. Between shipyard periods, vendor coordination, and tight charter schedules, yacht management teams have very little margin for delays. When a refit is needed, even a few days out of service can disrupt an entire season. That’s why our technological approach to yacht furnishings and yacht upholstery focuses on speed, precision, and seamless coordination.

Why Yacht Upholstery and Furnishings Demand Precision

One of our recent projects with M/Y Bella, a busy charter yacht, illustrates this perfectly. The vessel needed a key seating area redesigned and reupholstered, but the owner could not afford the inconvenience of cancelling or rescheduling charter trips. Our team stepped in with a solution that combined digital design, precision craftsmanship, and efficient installation, all without interrupting the yacht’s operations.

M/Y Bella’s Superyacht Upholstery Refit

The original main seating area, while functional, no longer suited the client’s vision. They requested a new structure that separated the seating height from the ottoman. A blueprint was created and shared with a specialist woodworking company independent from Eclipse, as well as with our design team. By collaborating remotely, we were able to work in parallel while the yacht remained on charter thousands of miles away.

From Blueprint to Custom Yacht Furnishings

Once the wooden structure was finalized, our team digitized it to begin the design process. This 3D model became the foundation for creating our bespoke superyacht upholstery.

Our designer combined the digitized file with the blueprint specifications to develop an accurate visual of the finished project. After client approval, we moved into production.

Digitization and Design for Superyacht Furnishings

With the approved 3D images, our craftsmen built custom cushions designed to fit perfectly on the new wooden base. At the same time, we created tailored weather covers; no additional input from the yacht was needed. By producing everything in advance, we ensured the installation process would be fast and efficient.

Building Cushions and Weather Covers with Precision

When M/Y Bella arrived, both the cushions and weather covers were ready. Installation was carried out quickly, allowing the yacht to remain on schedule and continue its charter season uninterrupted. For busy vessels, this kind of streamlined process makes all the difference.

Fast Installation Without Disrupting the Charter Schedule

Our clients return to us again and again because we take the stress out of yacht furnishings and yacht upholstery projects. Whether it’s seating, cushions, weather covers, or complete superyacht furnishing refits, we deliver solutions that save time, reduce disruption, and keep charter yachts running smoothly. By blending technology with craftsmanship, we ensure every project meets the highest standards while respecting the demands of a busy charter schedule.

Why Upholstery Matters in Superyacht Refits

On 30m+ superyachts, upholstery is more than a finishing touch; it defines the onboard experience. During a refit, upgrading marine cushions, interior seating, and exterior lounge areas can completely transform a vessel’s ambiance. Whether modernizing the style or restoring worn furnishings, we deliver superyacht upholstery that blends design elegance with the durability required for life at sea.

Digital Precision: 3D Scanning for the Perfect Fit

Yacht refits demand accuracy, particularly on vessels over 30m, where spaces are complex and layouts vary dramatically. We employ cutting-edge 3D scanning technology to map every curve, corner, and contour of the yacht. This digital precision ensures that new super yacht furniture and marine cushions integrate flawlessly into both interior and exterior spaces. For captains, owners, and designers managing refits in Fort Lauderdale, this technology guarantees a perfect fit without costly delays.

Marine Upholstery Repair and Restoration

Not every refit calls for brand-new installations. Many yachts benefit from expert marine upholstery repair, where existing seating and furnishings are restored to their original standard, or enhanced for a fresh look. Our craftspeople re-cover, re-stitch, and repair yacht furniture, extending the life of existing pieces while aligning with the new design visions of the refit. This approach is both sustainable and cost-effective, a valuable option for owners looking to balance tradition and innovation during their Fort Lauderdale refit.

Superyacht Furniture for 30m+ Yachts

Furniture plays a central role on large yachts. From expansive deck sunpads to elegant dining arrangements and plush salon seating, every element of superyacht furniture contributes to the onboard lifestyle. We design and fabricate bespoke pieces that withstand marine conditions while offering unmatched comfort. Our marine cushions are tailored with marine-grade materials, ensuring durability in Fort Lauderdale’s tropical climate and resilience against UV rays, salt, and humidity.

Pre-2018

2018: Reimagining A Yacht Sofa

The journey began in 2018 when we were commissioned to reimagine a salon yacht sofa. At the time, the client was working with a designer who recommended moving away from the original beige velvet upholstery in favor of a sleeker, silver-toned linen. The result was a more contemporary aesthetic, complete with skinny armrests, oversized base cushions, and an array of plush pillows that enhanced comfort while maintaining a minimalist appeal.

However, since neither the designer nor our team had the opportunity to view the original sofa in place, the final piece presented a challenge. The reference photo we received failed to show the full corner profile of the beige sofa, particularly at the back. This led to a minor imperfection in the fit, especially in the back corner area. Despite this, the first version marked a significant aesthetic upgrade and was well-received at the time.

2018-2025

2025: Yacht Furnishings Refresh

Fast-forward to 2025, the owner decided it was time for a refresh. This time, the brief focused heavily on functionality as well as form. The designer specified a revised layout featuring three structured seats and six generously padded backrests, angled specifically for optimal TV viewing. This marked a shift from the previous pillow-centric design to a more ergonomic and tailored arrangement.

To ensure the new yacht sofa would fit flawlessly, especially with the back corners, we digitally mapped the piece of furniture. By digitizing the layout, our team was able to capture precise dimensions and eliminate any guesswork from the fabrication process. This technology allowed us to align each element with the yacht’s existing structure, leaving no margin for error.

Modern design with curved corners

Yacht Furnishings Design and Craftsmanship

Following a detailed review of various design options, the owner selected the final concept. The updated design introduced a blend of functionality, sophistication, and comfort, with carefully angled backrests and refined seat shaping. We implemented an intricate curved detail that adds visual interest while maintaining the clean lines that work so well in a modern yacht interior.

Inspired by reference images provided by the client, our team sourced premium materials and applied expert craftsmanship to bring the vision to life. The result was a highly customized yacht furnishings solution that feels as luxurious as it looks, and one that was delivered in time for the owner’s next voyage.

This project exemplifies the level of care, innovation, and attention to detail that we bring to every piece of yacht upholstery. From digital modeling to hands-on craftsmanship, we ensure each item is built to fit, function, and impress, no matter how the brief evolves over time.

Whether you’re refreshing an existing yacht sofa or planning a full interior refit, our team is here to help you achieve results that are as practical as they are beautiful.

If you’re looking to enhance comfort, shade, and style on board, a high-quality sail awning is one of the most effective upgrades you can make. Why Choose Gray Sail Awnings?

Gray is fast becoming the preferred color choice for modern yacht sail awnings. This versatile tone blends seamlessly with a wide range of yacht exteriors while offering practical benefits. A gray sail awning is excellent at concealing stains, salt spray, and wear from daily use, making it ideal for long-term performance. Unlike lighter colors that show dirt or darker ones that retain heat, gray offers the perfect balance of sun protection and temperature control.

Our gray sail awnings are made from UV-resistant, marine-grade materials designed to block harmful rays and provide consistent shade, even in the most demanding environments. Whether you’re docked in the Mediterranean or cruising the Caribbean, these awnings ensure your deck areas stay cool, shaded, and visually refined.

The Value Of A Sail Awning Refit

Over time, older yacht sail awnings can become stretched, faded, or poorly fitted. A professional sail awning refit restores function, improves fit, and enhances the overall look of your vessel. Our refitting process includes precise measurement, re-cutting, and expert installation to ensure your awning not only looks new, but performs like it, too.

A well-executed sail awning refit helps extend the lifespan of your awning system, improves onboard comfort, and protects your outdoor furnishings and electronics from UV damage.

Yacht Sail Awnings Made To Measure

Every yacht is different, which is why we provide completely custom yacht sail awnings tailored to your vessel’s layout and usage. We design and fabricate each awning to exact specifications from our 3D CAD designs, considering everything from sail configurations and mounting points to the aesthetic of your yacht’s exterior. Our attention to detail ensures your sail awning fits perfectly, holds tension where needed, and maintains its shape and protection through every voyage.

Superyachts are statements of precision and luxury, but even the smallest detail can affect the harmony of a space. Nowhere onboard is this more apparent than in yacht upholstery and custom furnishings, where poorly fitted corners, ageing cushions, or mismatched materials can disrupt the entire design flow. Fortunately, Eclipse Yacht Furnishings have become a trusted name for resolving these kinds of challenges with style, accuracy and cutting-edge innovation.

Large Superyacht Specialists

We specialise in bespoke upholstery and furnishings for large superyachts, where the scale and complexity demand a more refined approach. The design of these yachts isn’t standard, features like curved walls, tapered edges, and bespoke joinery mean every piece must be made to measure. We rise to the occasion with a rare combination of technical understanding and craftsmanship, ensuring every installation looks and feels smooth.

Solving the Squared Corner Problem

One of the most common issues we solve is misaligned furniture corners. Yacht interiors often feature subtle curves and asymmetries designed for both style and function. Squared corners on loose furniture or built-in upholstery can clash with these lines, creating awkward gaps or uncomfortable seating.

Highlighted by this red line, our client’s furnishings were misaligned and out of place. Our solution was to use our advanced 3D scanning and modeling, digitally mapping the exact geometry of the yacht’s interior. This technology allows us to redesign furnishings and upholstery with precise corner adaptations that flow perfectly with the yacht’s architecture. The result is a smooth, organic fit that enhances rather than disrupts the yacht’s design.

High-Quality Renders

Before beginning the fabrication process, we provide high-resolution renders of the proposed new look. This helps captains, designers, and owners visualise how changes will impact the space. Whether it’s rethinking a lounge seating area or overhauling sun deck cushions, clients are given a clear preview of the transformation ahead, avoiding guesswork and ensuring satisfaction.

While we are adept at resolving functional issues like misaligned corners or uneven wear, our work goes beyond mere fixes. We bring a designer’s perspective to every project, updating materials, colors, and contours to enhance the aesthetic of the space. We work with high-performance marine fabrics, eco-conscious foams, and custom stitching that reflects both the yacht’s character and the owner’s taste.

Whether it’s worn-out upholstery, cushions that no longer fit properly, or a need to modernise your yacht’s interior feel, at Eclipse Yacht Furnishings, we offer dependable guidance. Our combination of technical innovation, 3D design, and artisan quality ensures that even the most challenging upholstery problems are met with smart elegant solutions.

At Eclipse Yacht Furnishings, we offer a fully digitized refit process, ensuring that your yacht cushions, awnings, seating, and weather covers can be replaced, updated, or customized with no additional measuring required.

When Buying A Superyacht

When purchasing a superyacht, owners often assume that replacing furnishings will be a straightforward process. However, if no digital templates exist, every cushion, awning, and piece of upholstery must be measured from scratch, delaying updates and increasing costs.

Check If Your Yacht Is In Eclipse’s Records

• Instant Replacements – If the yacht has been digitized using Eclipse’s 3D technology, we can recreate any seating or covers immediately, avoiding lengthy production times.

• Seamless Customization – Want to upgrade cushion thickness, change upholstery materials, or add extra padding? With our stored digital files, adjustments can be made without requiring the yacht to be in port.

• No Guesswork on Fit – If past owners used our services, we will have the exact specifications on file, ensuring replacements and upgrades match the yacht’s structure perfectly.

Before finalizing your purchase, ask if Eclipse has your yacht’s digital records. If not, consider scheduling a digitization session for future-proofing.

When Selling A Superyacht

Selling a superyacht means standing out in a competitive market. Buyers look for vessels that offer a digitized refit history of their cushions, furnishings, awnings and covers, making the yacht more attractive.

Why Digitized Yacht Furnishings Matter

• Proof of Well-Maintained Furnishings – Shows buyers that all soft furnishings can be replaced instantly, providing meticulous yacht upkeep and precise fittings.

• Simplifies Negotiation – Buyers often negotiate on wear-and-tear items like cushions and awnings. With Eclipse’s records, sellers can offer immediate replacements instead of price reductions.

• Speeds Up the Ownership Transfer – A yacht that requires no additional measuring or fabrication for new seating makes the purchase more appealing and hassle-free.

If you’re listing your yacht for sale, check if Eclipse has digital records of its furnishings. If not, schedule a digitization before putting it on the market – it’s an easy value-add for potential buyers.
